    7427 efan help

Some quick background. I did a 7427 swap on my '91 Suburban some time ago and it's been running awesome on the .bin below. I am getting ready to revamp my cooling setup in anticipation for a big block swap and part of that is dual 13" Spals. One will be connected to the AC relay, with an override switch in case I need it in the winter to help the trans cooler, and I want the other run off of the 7427.

I've spent the last few days trying to familiarize myself with how to splice the needed changes into my .bin but have come up short. I am extremely new to all this but I have an Autoprom, a few spare chips, and a can-do attitude! I found some YouTube tutorials and figured out how to delete/save tunes but that's about it. Below is some reference material I was directed to, which was helpful but I'm confident I don't fully understand. I don't believe I need the soft start function, and I am also curios to know what my on/off temps should be for a bone stock 5.7TBI.

Any help/direction would be greatly appreciated!

So I did some more reading and have got a .bin editor with my .bin loaded, but I'm not seeing the location referenced in the word document. Perhaps I'm using the search function incorrectly in the editor. Also I'd like to learn how the values given reflect temperature since I'm running a 195 degree thermostat. I will keep reading but feel free to chine in!

So I was able to find the location using TunerPro's hex editor. Should I be worried that the location is already "occupied "? I also still need to figure out how to adjust the on/off temps. Otherwise it should be just copying of the values, correct?

I just looked at a $0D bin and there's all 00 in $7000 to $70FF. The rest on the^^^word doc has something already populated. Looking at the mask id for BNKM, the mask id comes up with $31 and perhaps that's the reason it's all populated. TBH, it'll probably get all wonky if you started changing all those items.

Uh oh. Well I'm running the 5.7TBI with the later force motor (93+) 4l80e. Is there another memcal that will run that combo? Or should I buy a screw in temp sensor?

Just took a quick gander at $0E which does 4L80E...that too has the same addresses populated with data.

not sure if you tow or not, but a single mechanical fan will pull more CFM and cool better than an electric fan(or even 2). most of the cheap e-fans skew the CFM data as well. for a truck or tow vehicle i don't think e-fans are worth the trouble but YMMV....
