    $0D / $E6 '7427 Transmission tuning query

    Hi Guys,

    I've recently put a 4L60e into my 84 Corvette and I'm messing around with the tune.
    In the hac released by dimented24x7 some years ago, there's two 'Line Press. Offset vs TPS vs Gear' tables which appear to be the same.
    I'm guessing one or the other is used under certain conditions, but I don't know which table is used when and why.

    One is at $6520, this is included in the popular .xdf :
    ;~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    ;-2nd gear load based pressure offset
    ;~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    ;
    ; line pressure = val - 128 ;%TPS
    ;
    L6520 FCB 128 ; 0.0
    FCB 120 ; 6.3
    FCB 116 ; 12.5
    FCB 113 ; 18.8
    FCB 113 ; 25.0
    FCB 112 ; 31.3
    FCB 112 ; 37.5
    FCB 113 ; 43.8
    ........etc for 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear

    The other is at $65F5
    ;~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    ;-2nd gear pressure offset vs. %TPS
    ;~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    ;
    ; PSI = val - 128 ;%TPS
    ;
    L65F5 FCB 128 ; 0.0
    FCB 128 ; 6.3
    FCB 128 ; 12.5
    FCB 128 ; 18.8
    FCB 128 ; 25.0
    FCB 128 ; 31.3
    FCB 128 ; 37.5
    FCB 128 ; 43.8
    ........etc for 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear

    Does anyone know what the difference is, and when each is used?
    I've also found them both in the $E6 hac,but it didn't offer any further clarification either other than to suggest the first one is used in "Normal Mode".

    Normal trans temp?
    Normal shift pattern (not in manual shift mode?)
    Normal meaning no trans DTCs current?

    These are the values from a stock E6.bin
    In one case it subtracts pressure through 2nd and 3rd, but the other adds pressure in 2nd gear only......

    Many thanks.

    For anyone who may have the same query and find this post via a search:

    I did some experimenting and figured this out.
    The 'normal table' seems to be active when shifting automatically.
    The other table seems to be active when shifting manually.

    My reply is not specific to your table question.

    Blue Cats Transmission Table Software can be adapted (Excel - Copy / Transpose Paste) to work with $OD, $E6, $OE, and $31 : https://forum.hptuners.com/showthrea...Table-Software

    Hi Dave, yes I have had a brief play with the BlueCat tool and used it as a guide to adjust my tables from a truck $E6 tune to be more suitable for a Corvette :)
