    CheckSum question

Modified some settings in TunerPro, saved file but got the checksum error. Opened file in Universal Patcher, clicked the "fix checksum" button, and saved under new name. (As I understand this should fix checksum). Opened new file in TP and when I try to save file I get the same checksum error code. Does anybody know what I am doing wrong? Attached .bin and .xdf

Try giving the attached XDF a try. Make sure to copy the DLL file to your TunerPro Plugins folder. If you don't have that folder in your "TunerPro Files" folder just create one and copy it there.

    It works

I love it when a plan comes together. Works like a charm. Do you know the parameter numbers for lean cruise?

I'm attaching an XDF that I created that will patch in Lean Cruise and Flex Fuel. All of this information is already out there, I just compiled it in a single XDF and made two patches so that it would be easy to implement. Make sure you have a copy of your bin file before applying the patches as they cannot be removed, but the two functions can be turned off in the XDF later if so desired.

    !!! DISCLAIMER !!!
I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE IF FLEX FUEL OR LEAN CRUISE BLOW UP OR MELT YOUR ENGINE. BE SMART, USE YOUR BRAIN AND ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU ARE NOT SURE ABOUT SOMETHING.

FLEX FUEL PATCH - Applying this patch will turn FF on and populate all the necessary parameters with values taken from a P59 2004 Flex Fuel Silverado L59. There are 30+ parameters that need to change for FF to work as the factory intended and they are automatically populated when applying the patch. Will additional tuning be required? Of course. The patch gives you a good starting point.

YOU WILL NEED TO INSTALL AND WIRE IN A GM FLEX FUEL SENSOR BEFORE APPLYING THIS PATCH!!! There are some notes in the patch parameter summary, but it is not by any means a complete write up.

LEAN CRUISE PATCH - Applying this patch will turn on Lean Cruise like in the Holden vehicles and populate all the necessary parameters with values taken from a 2004 5.7L Holden Commodore M6. There are 9 parameters that need to change for Lean Cruise to work and they are automatically populated when applying the patch. Again be smart, use a wideband and verify that the PCM is applying Lean Cruise correctly.

Make sure you do a full flash (Write Entire) of the bin file after applying the Lean Cruise patch.

If you see multiple tables for the same address those are duplicates with either different units on the rows and columns, different units in the parameter or the rows and columns are transposed to make it easier to copy and paste from other sources. No need to change them all, a change in one will be reflected in the others.

Do you have the Lean Cruise seperately? I do not have the FlexFuel sensor, and don't really want it, OR should I just disable it? My .bin has the FlexFuel parameters.

Also I haven't applied any patches or performed a segment swap, what am I getting into?

You don't have to apply the flex fuel patch if you don't want to. All the patch does is populate the tables so that you have a good starting point. If you prefer not to apply the patch, parameter B9000 is what activates lean cruise. Once you enter the proper value, save your bin and do a full write as the parameter is located outside of the calibration area. The come back and populate the tables as you see fit.

How do I do this, ie. how do I get these tables into my >bin file?

Do you by chance have the unmodified BIN file? I was looking at the file you posted in the beginning of the thread and it has the wrong number for the Engine Calibration:
    Engine Cal.JPG

So I went and looked at a stock 2005 Escalade bin and it's actually OS 12592618. I then looked at a stock 2004 Escalade bin and it's OS 12587603, like the file you posted. What year is the vehicle you are working with? Is this a swap? What modifications are done? I'm not saying that a 2005 Escalade could not have come from the factory with a 12587603 OS, but it's very unlikely.
I'm wondering if you're not having checksum issues because the engine calibration value is not correct.

I'm attaching a file with the correct engine calibration value in it and Lean Cruise activated. You will need to do a full flash in order for LC to work. Also you need to take in account that the values in the LC tables are just a starting point and need to be tailored to your vehicle.

I'm also attaching a newer version of the XDF with some parameters that I have added.

I'm still interested in seeing the unmodified bin.

    This is a 05 LQ9 6.0 out of an Escalade. Mild truck cam and late-model (2010) intake/throttlebody/injectors. Swap into a 99 Denali.
Original service number was 12589463 hardware 12589162 with operating system 12592618. Change to a PCM out of an 05 Sierra service 12589462, this allowed a 12V AC compressor signal from my HVAC control unit instead of one coming over the CAN network. I changed this PCM over to a operating system 12587603 to get better support for .xdf files. I am very new to this and anything that I need to change I will, have several people trying to help. I can send you a PM or an email with everything that has been done if that would help. The truck runs great, only problem I am having is the electronic throttle is wide open at only 50% APP. It is smooth operating but feels a little sensitive due to limited travel. Thank you for your help.

Lean Cruise works! Before cruise AFR was averaging 14.7 (about 0.5V swing) now after giving time for delay it is about 16.6 V. I have seen it as high as 17.2V for less than 1 second at a time, I believe this is in the safe range. Stays in Lean Cruise even up moderate inclines. Drops out at about 50% throttle. Just need to work on Decel Fuel Cut. Big Thumbs Up to Pulse_GTO

Both those files are OS 12592618. What is the original bin you used with OS 12587603?
