Hello all! I’ve been beating my head against the wall with my ‘96 Trans Am
LT1 0411 PCM swap.
a year ago, February, after successfully doing the swap, I was returning home from
work one night, and the car backfired and died. The culprit was a bad Ignition module.
since the car was down, I installed a brand new 383 stroker, LT4 hot cam, ported heads,
long tube headers, etc. I have tested each and every sensor, checked my pinouts again and again
but I cannot get this turd to fire the ignition coil, the module and coil are good, even the
crankshaft sensor tested good. I have used the LS Droid program to flash and re flash the three
0411 PCM’s I have, using the last good tune I was running before it died.
I guess the Question I am asking here, is even if you can read the PCM, write the calibrations,
Can the PCM be bad? I’m at my wits end here, If I don’t solve this turds problem soon,
one of two things is gonna happen:
one: End up divorced, in a mental hospital
or two:
I have a “ Fire sale”🤣(did I say that?)
let me know what you guy’s think could be my gremlin.
thanks!
Ben Smith
