    16196395 $OE tuning help

    Hey i'm new to tuning and look some help . I have tunerpro rt ,moates burner2 ,aldl gm obd1 working on 94 c1500 was 5.0/4l60 now its 5.7 vortec/nv3500 can't get it to read data or find a bin file for 5.7/manual a have the ADX for $OE but not reading data. any help would be greatly appreciated.

    ***UP date ***got data working ,used bin for BHDC $OE 7.4L manual. recal injetors and ci running but poor

    Search for BCClookup.xls and filter your needs.Or have a look to what I have found.

    Spark timing is gonna be all wrong using 7.4L to run your vortec headed 5.7L. Suggest you search for a vortec/LT1 spark map and cut-n-paste. Fix your fuel trims by adjusting VE tables based on feed back from BLM data logs.

    factory 94/95 small block with manual transmissions actually still used the older C3 ECM (very similar to the 747). you have 2 options.
    1. find the correct ecu and use that. this will require repinning the ecu connectors to the older style. while this seems backwards you will have a lot of stock calibrations to choose from that will match your engine and transmission combo.
    2. use a manual $0E or $0D calibration and try and copy stuff from another 5.7L calibration to create a starter bin that will get you running.

    have you tried messaging dave_w? he runs a tuning business and would probably be able to put together a starter bin for you for a fee ....
