    1985-1992 TPI with 94-95 LT1 PCM?

It it possible you could repin a TPI harness with a 94-95 LT1 PCM? The reason for doing so would be to have a cheap entry cost (computer, ALDL cable & free software), access to EEHACK, Flashhack (meaning no longer needing to burn chips, etc, etc. would this work?

EDIT:after some thinking I don’t think it’s work mixing obd1 / 2..could a guy take a 94-95 LT1 short block with PCM and harness, then put the TPI injectors, fuel rails, plenum runners, tb, bas on the LT1? Another reason why I’d do this besides my prior mentions is I like the look of the TPI Over the LT1 but want the simplicity of 94-95 LT1 tuning and want the higher HP and compession ratio stock as well that the LT1 offers. I’m aware of the 4,500 ish rpm limit where the TPI quits making power, that’s fine for what I plan on doing.

You are correct that it would not work, but for the wrong reasons. 94-95 is still OBD1. OBD2 was not introduced until the 1996 PCM.

The only potential way to swap the 94-95 PCM onto an older car would be if it was a 92-93 LT1, not a TPI, and even then it would still be a pain in the ass to do. Swapping TPI components onto an LT1 is stupid, especially with the reasoning being "I like the look of the TPI."

I'd probably go looking around for those neat realtime tuning boards that some Australians made for the TPI ECMs instead of trying to figure out how to swap to the 94-95 LT1 PCM, personally.

Get your self moated.net Ostrich2 and with TunerPro RT you get full realtime tuning. Easiest way.
There is a way to use LT1 PCM quite easy if you are DIY guy. Just need to add proper crank sensor add with Vortec 5.7 Distributor you get cam sensor.

    You mean, put a TPI plenum & runners on a '94 or '95 OBD1 LT1? (OBD2 is '96 or '97.)
(Both L98 & LT1 engines already use pretty much the same throttle body.)

(You can do better than OE TPI or OE LT1 fuel injectors for a similar price.)

You may find this article mildly interesting:

Not that you'd be interested in buying one, but FYI :

This guy installed a FIRST FI Intake plenum & runners in his Caprice. He used to post often on the ISSF:

Point being, even if you settle for the OE TPI runners, go for it.

if you need to use the lt1 ecm, you need an optispark high and low res signal
so you graft an opti onto your cam at a 1:1 ratio and the rest is a cake walk
totally not worth it. way better ecms out there.

As pointed out, you need the Optispark. The signals are unique to it, so not the same as any other crank or cam trigger signal.

You could probably put a LT1 cam and front timing cover onto the engine, but it doesn't make much sense. Might as well do a 0411 PCM swap.

A 4X crank sensor and Vortec distributor with 1X sensor gives you a 0411 swap but I personally don't like that either because it still uses a single coil and the distributor for the ignition. In my opinion. a big advantage to doing a 0411 swap is getting the coil near plug ignition.
