    OS 12587604 P59 XDF file

    Edit 4/17/22:
Uploaded V5.8.1. Several new parameters and some fixes.

I've been working on an XDF for the 12587604 OS, commonly found in the 2004 GTO. I started with the 7603 XDF that persingc had posted that was a collection of several individual's work that unfortunately I do not know. If you know who's work has contributed, please let me know so that I can edit this post and the Read Me in the file to give everyone credit.

That being said, the XDF should include all the parameters that the two major players have and those parameters have been identified with their parameter codes in the parameter title. You will also need the P01-P59 Checksum plugin, or use Universal Patcher to fix the checksums.

Parameters I'm not sure about have a couple of ?? in the title.

    Edit 4/17/22:
Uploaded Beta V.5.8.1. Added a few more parameters and revised others. If you find something that does not look right or could be done differently please post so I can make the revisions.

I've also added a couple of patches that should enable Flex Fuel and Lean Cruise. The patches should also populate the necessary tables with data taken from GM factory bins. Make sure you have a copy of your bin file before applying the patches as they cannot be removed, but the two functions can be turned off in the XDF later if so desired.

Make sure you do a full flash (Write Entire) of the bin file after applying the Lean Cruise patch.

    !!! DISCLAIMER !!!
I'M NOT RESPONSIBLE IF FLEX FUEL OR LEAN CRUISE BLOW UP OR MELT YOUR ENGINE. BE SMART, USE YOUR BRAIN AND ASK QUESTIONS IF YOU ARE NOT SURE ABOUT SOMETHING.

If you see multiple tables for the same address those are duplicates with either different units on the rows and columns, different units in the parameter or they rows and columns are transposed to make it easier to copy and paste from other sources. No need to change them all, a change in one will be reflected in the others.

@Pulse_GTO out of curiosity, do you happen to know what major differences (if any) there are between the 7603 and 7604 OS? In my short time digging through it appears that there is obviously a hex address shift for the parameters, but outside of that I haven't been able to come up with anything substantially different.

The two are virtually identical with the first offset due to the 7603 having 3 extra parameters for the ETC data loggers that the 7604 does not have (2004 GTOs are DBC). I've not really gotten into the transmission section, but there again the only difference I can see are some offsets. My guess is that there may be a parameter or two that one has that the other does not. I'm working on an XDF for the 12579405 OS, mostly to see what has changed between 2003 and 2004 and so far they are very similar, but again some parameters are missing from the 9405 that the 7603 has. Once I get that finished I may look into the 12592618 OS to see what has changed, but that is way down the road.

I'll be curious to see more on the 1259218 OS if you ever get to it. That OS is used on the 2005 CTS-V's. From what I gather, that OS has flex fuel tables populated, but with flex fuel disabled. You can just add a sensor, enable it, and be on your way. The 2004 CTS-V's run the 12592433 OS (my project) and while it appears you can turn on flex fuel, none of the tables are there (or at least populated). Digging through the 12592433, there appears to be a shift in the hex addressing when comparing to the 12587603 on some of the items, but some are in the same location. Attempting to sort through this to enable flex fuel on the 12592433 OS. The universal patcher seems to be able to apply the flex fuel patch with no issue but I have not been able to confirm that will actually work on the PCM.
