    Can anyone help 93LT1

I purchased a 93 z28 with an 67mm STS turbo I purchased everything from moates to read and burn chips I even copied the chip in it and burnt a new one because the prongs on old one about to break but when I try to read or edit the tune none of the injector sizes or anything in the bin reads what it should I used the $DA2 I tried a few different ones and none is right any input on what could be wrong would be greatly appreciated Laney

Maybe you can post the bin and xdf you are using. That way we can check what`s wrong.

Are you sure it's the right PCM? If it's been so heavily modified, isn't there a chance someone swapped ECMs too? Having a totally wrong XDF would also explain it.

But agreed with kur4o; just post the BIN.

That bin is full of garbage data f3 and 33. I think you should revise the reading method. You can also read via aldl line with flashack program. But writing back is another case.

Maybe using non optimal settings during reading the memcal. Try contact moates for troubleshooting. Or a complete step by step of what you are doing, so we can spot some trouble points. There is read and verify so it is very hard to read garbage bin without knowing it.

i agree something is being done wrong

show us a screenshot of your settings for reading

and a picture of how the chip is inserted into the burn 2 as you are reading it

maybe your chip is inserted into the zif incorrectly, which is really hard to do because moates puts instructions right on the thing and then it comes with a manual with a picture showing how to insert the chip

also give us a picture of the chip itself nice and clear so we can read the numbers

awesome. good luck with the mazda, i've done that dance.

like kur4o mentioned you could try reading the bin with my flashhack tool if you wanted, over the ALDL port (see tool in my signature), it's free.

it has a tool called 'aldl universal read'

since it's a 32kb bin and the device is f4 you have to go into the parameters tab and set:

    device id to F4
    memory size to 8000
    read start to 0
    read end to 7FFF

it's basically using your ECM as the prom reader

but it should read with your programmer too... so lets solve that problem or it might have trouble writing as well.. flashhack wont help you there.

Well I set everything up and started recording the whole process and when I went in to parameters it had downloaded the tune only thing its shows injector as 30s and maybe they are now I kinda need help setting the injector offsets its really hard to understand the pw settings in the XDF I've done a lot of reading but there's very little out there on this 93 pcm and how to set pws Im new to all this the reason for larger injectors is the car just doesn't have the power that I think it should I have a 67 camaro with a 383 flat tops pro comp heads that seems as fast or faster definitely more torque but any help on how to set injector offset would be greatly appreciated I already appreciate everyones interest in helping me I'll post the tune again see what you think Laney
