I am staring a new thread with How to tutorials for tuning LS1 bins.
We can make that thread sticky so anyone can find it quickly and use it accordingly.
Anyone is free to contribute to the thread.
First lesson is how to turn off DTC and vats off of any ls1 OS.
We will use the new tuning tool that is opensource called UNIVERSAL PATCHER

The program is portable and there is no need for installation, only .net 4.5 framework is needed.
Unzip to a folder and run the universalpatcher.exe
Upon first start go to file->create shortcuts
select desktop and check all boxes for the different shortcuts.
Than go to desktop and start Tuner_basic for novice users that don`t need to be distracted by advanced features.
to open a bin select file->open bin
The file will be opened and now you can edit DTC list and turn off VATS.
To diplay the dtc list go to 2d tree-> and click on DTC.codes list.
On the right side you will see a list of the dtc the OS support and drop down menu for each to tune and also a checkbox to enable mil on/off.
When you are done with editing click file->save bin as
How to turn off vats.
On the filter box type VTD_configuration
expand the 1d category and open the VTD_configuration.
select NONE from the dropdown list.
Than save bin from file->save bin as
Now you are ready to go.
