7427 Code 36

36 ECM detected less than 40 high resolution timing pulses between each low resolution pulse for 5 consecutive cycles.

So I've been driving for the past few days. No tuning, just data logging. Started it up today and drove around to the garage and while it was idling I got a CEL for a code 36. A google search came up with something about minimum air and suggested a vacuum leak or IAC issue. The one change I did make Friday was adjust the idle for IAC counts. I noticed IAC was at 0 counts at idle so I closed the throttle blades slightly to give me a count around 15-18.

And ideas on this issue?

In looked in TunerPro at the error flags and this comes up as a throttle kicker error. I remember a thread about that here. I'll go dig that up. In fact I think it was one of the 7747 to 7427 swap threads. Time for more reading.

So I found the thread and the authoe had the code 36 because he disabled the throttle kicker. Since I did not disable mine or change any parameters I'm lost at the moment. Also, the CEL is on continuously... it isn't like I drive for a while then it comes on... it is just on. And the only code in memory is the 36.

I found a thread on the throttle kicker and the error 36. Basically the solution is to turn off the flag in the tune but leave the parameters alone.

So...done.
