When comparing AXRD with BAMN there are several differences present. It's clear that GM used coolant temperature as the way to force the controller to remain open loop. AXRD is able to go into closed loop at approximately 85 degrees F while BAMN would require coolant temperature in excess of 303 degrees F.
Many of these trucks just didn't like to idle in CL IME. Is there an issue related to open loop operation that you are trying to resolve?
