Just thought i'd update with what ended up happening, removed all the previous drivers installed by the fdci site. Loaded the driver provided through the link here...

That's what I was hoping for. I was just in doubt if I hooked both wires up to the rxd and txd pins if they both could attempt to use the same signal at the same time? Not sure if that's even possible

From everything i've been able to find on here, is that it is nearly identical to the 7747. Just meant for the HD vehicles like 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. I think i can even get away with running the 7747...
