I tested today and evidently it returns a single byte (vs 2 byte). Very spurious results with iOS and OBD Fusion.
Thanks everyone for all the help. I got OBD Fusion with user PIDs working on Dad's iPad to log. One of the PIDs that's missing is $199D. I added that but don't know how to interpret the results. I...
Dad looked at the injectors and they are flex fuel marked as DENSO #25326903. I looked them up and they are the 32lb flex fuel injectors. There is a currently only a single fan in the truck so Dad...
2xls1, we GREATLY appreciate all of the work that you did for us. I'll have Dad pull the injectors and check the parts numbers. From what Dad said, the guy that sold him the truck was not very...
Got it! Good to know. I really appreciate all the help. It's wonderful to have a community that is willing to spread the knowledge.
Dad had a chance to test some today. I continued lowering the 1->2 shift speed at low throttle position and we got a change. That lines up with what you are telling me about having to scale the shift...
I just realized that you also asked for the stock OS from the '03 PCM before I overwrote it with the 603.bin. Sorry for the delay. It's attached.
Thanks! Dad wrote back. The tires are 245/60R18. I'll look at the stock bin now.
I misremembered the idle speed change. You are correct that we set the lower limit to 600.
The truck was "running away" with no foot on the throttle in 2nd gear. It would get faster and faster,...
My dad bought the truck for the guy that did the engine and transmission swap. I live several hours away so I'm waiting on a response from my dad on the tire size (H0101) and the fuel system...
Correct. The engine and transmission out of a donor 2003 Silverado 1500 were transplanted into a '91 S10 2 door pickup. I couldn't find the XDF for the '03 OS (12579405) so I used the OS from the...
Attached are the stock (04 Chevy 1500 4x2 LM7 12587603.bin) and modified (S10 12587603 1 Apr 21.bin). I downloaded the original from this forum.
My dad lives in a subdivision that has a pretty slow speed limit and wants the transmission to shift into 2nd sooner to lower the RPM when creeping around the block. I adjusted the 1->2 shift table...
I'd love to read the PDF. I didn't see it attached to the post. Is it in another post of yours? If not, could you provide a link? I think I'm good at editing tables in TunerPro, but where I stumble...
LRT, thank you for the response. That was exactly what I needed. I easily admit that I’m a noob when it comes to using TunerPro. That’s why I’m here learning.
Speaking of changing the shift...
I am using TunerPro and was reading over at https://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?3419-Proper-way-to-raise-part-throttle-shift-points how to adjust the shift points for my dad's transmission...
I used "04 Chevy 1500 4x2 LM7 12587603.bin" from this forum as the donor OS for an '03 5.3L LM7. I looked up the VIN for the 603 OS in TIS and below is the output. It appears there are new...
It is an ETC setup. I believe the TAC, pedal, etc. all came from the '03 donor Silverado. Thanks for the warning. We will try to keep everything but the OS an '03.
I got the bin from here, specifically http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Injection/showthread.php?1515-2004-TunerPro-Bin-Files&p=20003&viewfull=1#post20003. The truck's previous owner prior to my dad...
Setting allow Throttle Cracker Table values >1 to 1 did not solve the problem. I set all the value to zero and also set B4311 - Throttle Cracker Activate Speed and B4312 - Throttle Cracker...
I was able to talk my dad through uploading the new image to his PCM. I used 2xls1's suggestion to set all of the values >1 to 1. Dad will run the truck tomorrow. Fingers crossed that this fixes it....
I didn't realize the screenshot was from my bin, but that looks like it. I'm using TunerPro and PCMHammer as my tools. If my entire problem is keeping the RPM below 1000 in 2nd gear with my foot off...
Thanks for the suggestion. Most of the values in 1000 rpm were above 1 so, I reset them to 1. I didn't adjust the 1600 rpm column yet. I'm hoping that the computer will interpolate bewteen the 1000...
Tom, Thank you! Not sure what my dad's truck is doing with respect to desired idle vs. actual so this will be extremely helpful. It's on a 2005 P59 PCM, but I am hoping that the protocol/enhanced PID...
How are the values for 1192 interpreted? The tables shows that it returns 1 byte, but the description says that it ranges from 0-3200. Maybe a 12.5 times the byte value?
