yep, thats what i'm trying to do. i know the van uses a different, smaller MAF. i bought the ACDELCO 2133460 equivalent that i know the trucks use, so i could use a common sized generic cold air...

SO i have a 4.8/4l80 combo swapped into a 78 monte. I have it running off its stock PCM with the vats removed, no issues there. however i switched out the stock van MAF for a truck style MAF.
