good to know, although my wife would NOT be caught in the theater for a Fast & Furious movie
He seems like a hard worker, he pretty much told me his life story.
Just an update on the truck listing situations, the kid is like 21 I called him and explained the situation. Told him I knew where the truck was (I have a buddy that lives in the same town) and that...
Welcome aboard, look forward to seeing your projects. I did a 5.3 swap about a year ago, although I sold it before I got around to tuning it!
You probably need 30 psi to meet the demands of you engine with the 65 lb/hr injectors. Most people use a standard regulator modified to be adjusted with the turn of a screw. Just take it easy, one...
rsicard- I have been in the same boat with the engine running pig rich. the BPW is in the scalars. I believe that there is a calculator/excel file somewhere to help with this. I ended up telling the...
This may be covered elsewhere, but how to i fix that?
is it the Edelbrock fuel injection rated cam? If so they are probably just trying to keep the cam's lift within a range that can be handles by a stock TBI PCM
If I may sir, "fuel injection has further ruined an entire generation of fools" (just my opinion) That being said... I am interested in how the tug would work. What distributor could be used to...
I got the injector constant where i think it needs to be fore regular driving and added a little more fuel for acceleration/tps. Cold starts kind of awful now though, seems OKAY once it's warmed up....
So....since this is the "Whatever" thread... <rant> I just found out the young man I traded my 5.3 swapped 1986 gmc to has it back up for sale. At twice what I was asking, he's phrasing everything as...
Pig rich is right! but to be honest it's better than the corrupted factory tuning.
I got the EP377 installed on Saturday (thank God for nice weather). I got the fuel pressure set @28psi. The truck seems to like that under heavy acceleration. but it's too rich while cruising. Looks...
The Big Block pump is a great thought, I never even considered it.
Delco EP241 seems to be a popular choice, thoughts on this pump?
Okay, I'll throw the 65 injectors back in it when I get the chance. I have an AFPR, I wonder if my current pump has the stones to produce the kind of pressure
New news! I had the wife crank the truck over and noticed what seemed like way to much fuel while cranking. I decided to change out the 65 lb/hr injectors, found one of the installed 180 out. The...
it's also worth mentioning that it wont start without my foot in the throttle, gotta rev it up a few times to get it to idle at all
Quick question, when changing out chips, do you disconnect the battery every time?
The data log in question is posted below, why cant I idle?
Well folks, I ran into a snag a few weeks ago. Ended up replacing the timing chain and re-sealing the cover. That being said, I now have a brand new cable and a datlog to go with it! I still can't...
I just ordered one, im done with my $10 cable. nothing but a headache
So this cable works with your android device AND your laptop??

I had never heard of this cable, anyone have experience with it?
Dave, I think you're right. Are those engines pressure oiled? Babbit Rods? a lot of unknown variables there. Might be better to just use a 345, it's been proven to run GM Tbi I think as well.
