Five liter Olds or five liter Chevrolet?
Back in the day, we did a lot of timing chains in those Olds 307's. It was mandatory to pull the oil pans because of all the plastic debris from the gear.

Someone correct me I am wrong but I don,t think the 7730 has transmission controls. I,m sure someone will recommend an ecm more appropriate for your application.

You're not going to be able to suck through the old pump. That means you'll need to extend your pickup tube.

Many modern cars run a single fuel line with the regulator in the tank with the pump. Would that work for...
I think the cam and intake selection are going to prevent you from going over 325hp.
I just installed an engine in my K20 Suburban with a similar goal. I started with an 880 Vortec short block,...
You need an normally closed brake switch so the TCC gets power while the brakes are released and cuts power when the brakes are applied.
The switch that goes to the brake lights is normally open.
Any reason you haven't preloaded your lifters? Sorry I can't help you on the electronic questions. I'm just learning myself.
I'm going to disagree with Brian's assessment slightly. Melting of the wires is from too much current flow. That *could* mean a direct short to ground but not necessarily.
It just means the...
Me
I don't know where to start. I've been working in the automotive trades for 30+ years.
In the early 1980's I was fortunate enough to get factory electronic fuel injection training...
