Fuel pressure is 13 psi. The part that seems strange to me is that map voltage at idle is 1v. Not sure how that translates to map kpa, but my stock tbi 350 burb shows map slightly over 1v.
Block...
I have noticed that warmed up good, mostly at low load and rpm, that block learn gets as low as 80. Idle is around 90, and map reads very close to 1 volt. The map voltage looks pretty normal to me,...
I have heard several stories similar to that lately.
You would think that a doctor would know that when a MALE patient insists (or even goes to the hospital) that something is wrong, and look a...
bin is arpa. I have noticed on the scan tool, that it will stay closed loop WOT and idle for several seconds, like it is on a timer.
Motor is very mild, but it does need tuning to be correct. I do have vss. Cant remember bcc offhand.
I would love to get into tuning, the problem is that I would not have the time to put into it...
Back to my original question....
this thing even when it is running good, has a slight surge to it (light throttle in low gears) that I am sure if I put a graphing meter on the o2, would match the...
cts is in the same location it would be on the stock 454 manifold. I am hoping it is just an intermittent cts.
I had an intermittent fast idle a month ago, and I replaced the cts with a used one...
Well, replaced the 02, and same thing. Then I remembered that I had replaced the fuel pressure regulator diaphram, and didnt have time to check and adjust fuel pressure. Pressure was down to 10.5....
Not known good, but was new when i did the swap. I will replace it in the morning, sure looks like its voltage doesnt reflect actual a/f ratio.
Basically in the collector of the manifold.
When I did my 454 tbi swap, I put the o2 inthe 454 manifold in the same location as the 350 manifold.
The problem i am having is that engine shows signs of being lean (surge, good mpg) and blm is...
I dont remember you saying, can you keep it running with heavy throttle??
Could the converter be extremely restricted?
So, gasoline is coming out of the exhaust port, into the manifold, and to the egr valve?? Even if this were happening, the egr valve would have to be opening, and it is not going to open under idle...
So the fuel is on the intake side of the egr? This could be very interesting, I wish I had one of those cars here today to look at to help you out.
Is this fuel possibly coming from EVAP somehow??
If that was directed to me, I know how it works, I guess I was just being a smart@@s
most fuel pressure regulator failures are gas out through the vac hose. I would like to know how the ecm couldpossibly cause fuel to get to the throttle body on that car.
"floods intake with gas, coming from egr pulled from the exhaust"?? Can you explain this a little more?
bad fuel pressure regulators are fairly common, and this will flood the intake with gas.
I guess I dont know how to turn this off. I would like to not get email notification. What do I need to do?
I will let you know when I am getting closer on this thing, I am considering some engine mods and a 4l80, so I dont want to spend too much time and money on tuning it the way it is.
on the netres chip, the 454 prom came with one, but I dont remember if I used it or left the original in the 350 ecm (that I am using).
I am in Missoula.
I have been working out things that needed straightened out, next is fuel pressure.
What I would really like to do, after I have everything the way I want it is, to leave the...
On the netres chip, how do I tell? Does it matter?
On the fuel pressure, I dont believe my gauge, but adjusted fuel pressure to where blm is reasonable. gauge shows 22psi and wont hardly run...
I have gotten this thing mostly sorted, (no tuning yet) but I am curious if the issues I am having is because of this prom. The prom I have is anty, and has been modified by hypertec before I bought...
slight derail here.... but you can get cylinders of starting fluid that your propane soldering torch head will screw on to. These are the cylinders made for ether start systems for diesel equipment....
