sbc definitely have head bolts that go into coolant. you're right not all but i put sealer on all of them so they torque the same
YMMV but thats what I was taught.
did you put thread sealant on all the headbolts? they all go into coolant...
throttle shafts probably need bushings
been waiting to hear your opinion on the Holley exhaust manifolds. i like the heat shields on the exhaust manifolds, looks good!
steveo, I may be remembering wrong but are you on vancouver island?
i normally just change shift points in the tune. if i want a softer or firmer shift i play with orifice sizes in the separator plate. usually tuners get into trouble when they start messing with...
you should really be doing internal mods if you want to increase pressure ie: pressure relief&boost valve. you can crank up the pressure in the tune but it's only going to go as high as what the...
i have a few sets of tbi injectors i harvested probably 15 years ago that still have the paint on them. this was back when no one wanted this stuff and lower milage units were not hard to come by in...
lol ok
EBL comes with stock calibrations. It also is a GM ECU so adjustments are the same as any other GM ECU of that era. If you couldn't figure EBL out I doubt Emulation and burning your own chips will go...
do some research on the LS guys that use HPTuners, i think they like to set the shift time from 0 to 0.3. Don't quote me on those numbers. I know for 4L60E short shift times will lead to longer life,...
get the wiring diagrams for both vehicles and figure it out. diagrams are on this forum if you look.
there was an excellent write up done by 84elky on this forum not to long ago about injector offsets. you will see more power gains and a smoother running engine with a set of flow matched injectors.
the pressure dropping to 0 psi on a TBI system after shutdown is normal. there's actually a bleed off orifice in the regulator. this is not like "modern" EFI.

no TBI ecm/pcm requires a 40ppr signal directly. i believe either 2000 or 4000 ppm and can be selected in the calibration. you're VSSB is in the speedo housing IIRC.
did you use the correct submersible fuel hose on the pump? you can't use normal fuel hose, it will eventually swell and not hold pressure
I have seen '7427 in 4L80E trucks, this is nothing new/unusual.
i believe there's a 454 manual transmission cal I would start there.
send them off and get professionally cleaned &flowed. i too have found used oem better than aftermarket.
what # on the connector does the SES ground wire goto? should be A5...

this a real thread sealant. i use it on everything automotive from head bolts...
ya i use the yellow "gas" teflon tape or actual thread sealant. I used that aviation form a gasket stuff in my younger days, but it doesnt seem to hold up well to oil.
