Great pictures and video! Nice Jeep too!
The SC80571VFN is a Motorola processor. I'm not familiar with it, but there is info out there about them.

The C96N is also a Motorola Processor...
Yeah, the DSM's EPROM contains executable code.
Interesting to say the least, as I have never used another instance, but there are a few things I haven't used yet. I'll have to try this out and see what happens.
Being relatively new to TunerPro...
Merry Christmas !
I just returned from my grandparent's house, and so far so good, no drama. Two more Christmas functions to attend and I hope I survive.
The link I posted will show you where to look for the microprocessor, then get the numbers/letters off the top of the chip.http://starparts.chrysler.com/starlibrary/marketing/reman/Electric.pdf

Welcome! Hopefully Christmas is going well!
This write up is awesome! Thank you EagleMark! Your wisdom has saved me from a lot of headaches, since I have gotten started stock ECU tuning!
At least you spent the money on things that are useful, and could be used to make money. Excellent purchases!
My brother's Charger had similar issues from the vinyl being removed from his car's roof,a little rusted, but no holes. At least you have a source for spare parts for your project. It's nice to see...
Cool car  or at least that's what I used to say about my older cousins 280Z when I was a kid! That thing was awesome to ride in, and hauled all kinds of ass!
You said your car has the...
I am curious which microprocessor your ECU has. I have been searching around via Google and found that some of the SBECs used the exact same Motorola processor that the DSMs use, for which there is...
I can't say much as far as how the GM files were obtained, but as far as the DSM stuff I'm into, a group of like minded folks put in a lot of work and research to disassemble the code. From reading...
Being relatively new to using the electronics that I have from Moates(Burn2 and Ostrich 2.0) ,and the licensed version TunerPro RT, it is good to know that there are great folks like you all who are...
Welcome! My brother has a 72 Charger that I helped him fully restore, though he did the majority of the body work since that is his profession. I have been trying to convince him into an EFI and...
I see what you guys are saying about using a battery as the power source, instead of the plug in wall unit. Since the wavelength of the AC current is broad, its output would be more inconsistent than...
Thanks for the welcome EagleMark! I'm definitely glad I signed up to become a member of the forum! There is a lot of helpful information here from the content I've viewed here so far.
You all have some excellent test bench setups! I have been interested in setting up a test bench for a while, and was unsure how exactly to go about doing so, until I stumbled on the JimStim info...
Hi Folks,
My name is Rob. I'm into all different types of cars, but mostly modify DSMs, and I wanted to stop in and say hello. While searching for information about engine simulation for...
