When i pulled this harness from the truck there are i plugs that go to the computer then about a foot down is 2 black plugs that go on to a clear double plug .coming out of this plug is a purple...

That sounds like a cool project you got going on. I'm still in the wiring phase like figuring out what to eliminate an what to keep and getting that glob of glue that GM used on the firewall plug.
