see Mark, told ya we werent hiding well enough *covers eyes again to hide* lol
but seriously.. :welcome:
my best advice would be to keep it simple, the following is a pretty simple, basic old schoole ecm that even has a pretty trouble free starting solution.... best of luck lol
there is also the megasquirt which has a direct plug and play version, the ones i have seen all fit in the stock ecm's case with room to spare.
i belive the megasquirt can be set up as maf or map...
:welcome: and glade to have you..
gratz on job well done, gotta love it when stuff runs
ok i see , well in the $6E XDF i was using there is nothing more listed for idle except desired idle vs temp with the exception of a couple IAC step adders foe veriouse conditions and those would...
ok simple question but probably no simple answer.
is there any other multipliers or data that can change what the ecm calls the desired idle speed besides the idle rpm vs coolant table?
now i do...
ok then 1st steps = make sure that A is a good ground and that B has continuity to the ecm
kk seemed to have done the trick, this is what it shows all the way through logs now..
be more specific.. does the ses light even come on at all with A&B jumpered and key on? does it come on without the jumper and key on? does it come on then of quick befor coming on when you turn key...

nobody has one thats running perfect, thats why everyone is all here
besides tbh is there really any such thing as perfect tune? perfect in whos eyes?
a tune that is everything one person...
it sure does
well you dont need the dashes set up and all that to use it and get great usable data, tbh i never use dash for reviewing data, to me dash is just more a impressive plaything or great for when you...
thinking a little more about this i find it so hard to think of a blower that dosnt need diff timing as well as some sort of boost fuel enrichment of some type.. is this a paxton type? but you said...
ahh kk ya i have read how numbers go to letters later in the sequance but didnt remember how it went lol.. and i too read about issues with setting things to max as well unfortunatly i never read...
yep i knew it was getting O2 crosscounts as shown on your scan but i was more concerned with its acuracy and those concerns arent gone knowing its in the header and there shorty headers. a picture of...
ok so that worked and verified so what is FD and what is FF? guess i'm asking so what did i just change it to lol anyhow i can test it tomarrow and see if AIR shows any signs then, thanks
yep to all so yes i assume its setting a correct checksum.. i can try to set it FD then.
135 compression tells nothing about if old owner had a lower compression ratio then stock for the blower, so i am going to assume you dont know so we will figure stock engine i guess.
does it have...
ok i'm still trying to wrap my head around this cars history.. so far i got that the car is a 89 firebird with the 165 ecm running the APYU bin(stock or modified?). tell me more about this "blower"...
but as soon as i change just that setting back and resave the bin it burns and verifies no probs?
ok update time..
i havent tried setting to coldest yet but instead decided to try and edit the HEX directly... now from my reading i have read that it is located at address 0324 so i look there and...
