from what I can tell the balancer has not moved any. did a TDC with #1 plug out and 0 timing. starts and dies after about 2 fires. disconnect EST wire starts idels at 600 no timing advance of course....
tried something else:
disconnected EST wire started it. disconnected ESC watched tunerpro both errored out. shut down truck, plugged both back in and the truck started with both connected....
during start up I wonder if when the EST wire is hooked up it is making out the timing? advanced or retard
yes I have verified TDC on compression stroke. took valve covers off and made sure. rotor is pointing at #1 on distributor as well.

during the start up, could the computer be telling the districtor to advance too much? if so im sure it would be wiring somehow like a sensor is value to too high. caused by maybe a bad ground or...
