soooooo, you know NSFW? :)
I didn't know that, great tip, thanks.
Cuz it's cool
I wish I could have read every single thing I came across without having to find the ecu, pull the chip, read it, put it back, reinstall the ecu, hope I didn't fook up old...
A little off reach of the thread but hth's
I know your being sarcastic cuz my bud Peter is from zealandland, best fabricator I have ever met. :) he can look at something for a minute then run off to the mill/lathe and bring you a work of...
You can put any 0411 file on top of that 'puter The 4896 has the ability to do egr and smog air if you are so inclined. Do you know Peter? <<< american joke
Ignition advance is mainly contributed to combustion chamber. I will agree with 2xls1 that the majority of LS type engines only like a max of ~28 degrees regardless of octane. Combustion pressures...
Hi Brian,
Your Hpt COS is based on 12212156 OS used in a 12200411 PCM. It looks like you should be able to use one of the fan control circuits. Usually we turn a fan on at a set temp, then turn...
Hi Brian,
I'll have a deeper look at the COS, it looked simple at a glance.
Hello Brian,
That is a Hpt custom os so I can't help much but I did notice you might be able to use your shift light parameters for temp, max on time and a few other things. I would imagine that...
You can post your hpt file and I'll have a look through it and see if I can find something you can use for the glow plug relay. I'm sure a simple 555 timer circuit could be built pretty easy but...
Just off the top of my head, could you use the fan control to ground the relay? Activating a relay doesn't care if it's ground or 12v if wired accordingly.
ok, I look forward to it. Keep in mind, around those years GM developed new OS numbers to show that a car had been to the dealership although the OS and calibration was identical
Hi kur4o,
I have all my files by year, then make/model. It would be a huge amount of work for me to convert it to OS numbers. What year/make/model is that OS used?
Here is the file you posted with the checksum corrected and VATS turned off. If you don't have the rapidly flashing check engine light, it has passed checksum verification so there is something...
Is this happening in the car?
It's fairly complicated to type, feel free to post your reads and I or others will check for you. Most programming devices will give you a total checksum upon read. Keep reading till it comes up...
Upon key on, the cpu verifies the checksum and if INCORRECT, it will rapidly flash the check engine light. If the check engine turns on at key on, then turns off briefly then turns back on solid. ...
The checksum is wrong, so, not a good read :(
With a hex editor, it is calculated from 0008-3FFF and stored at 0006,7
Doesn't the Burn2 read 27128 chips? I know it can't program them but thought it could read them.
PM sent
Hello, I don't have that file, but what's weirder is I have no record that file even exists. How are you planning on re-programming it if you can't read it? :)
Hi Folks, I hope this will help. I will update when they send me a new one :)
Code: 161865617148016941
Thank You for...
Can you post the stock bin file? I will modify it for no EGR. I assume you can program the chip? I could be wrong but it sounds like an area where the EGR would be active, I'll know better after...
I quickly scanned this thread so I might have missed it. You have the EGR blocked off, is the EGR turned off in the chip? When the ecu thinks egr is active it WILL remove fuel based on EGR fuel...
