Success!
The addressing was off in my TunerPro. After getting the settings correct, it works!
Thank you for helping me make sense of this thing. Now I can get to fixing the tune.
When I read this chip as a 27C512 with start address 000000 end address 00FFFF I end up with a 32K file. The buffer addressing defaults to start address 000000 end address 007FFF, is this correct?
Ok,
the Whipple part number is 2033-A4. The markings on the top of the chip are:014, 67633, 8944OAF.
I don't know what size this chip is and don't really have a grasp on the whole hex addressing...
The truck will be back on Friday. If I remember correctly the comp is 16197427 with def of OD, the trans is a 4l60E. I'm using Moates autoprom to read the chip.
Hey fellow gearheads!
I'm trying to tune this truck, haven't used the chip burning stuff in a few years but, here goes...
This BIN is from a 1995 Chevy 1500 5.7 TBI with a Whipple supercharger....
Here are the TCM and ECM stock files
These were pulled using TunerCat, you may have to change the file type.
I would check manifold vacuum with a gauge, if it's below 17", look for anything that would make it low-proper timing marks, vacuum leaks, restricted exhaust etc... How many miles on this engine?...
