Just for anyone's interest the lean ve was the problem. My integrator does reset on AE and once the pump shot was over things were lean until the integrator became active again.

I am wondering if the blm's go to 128 when AE is activated. I was running yesterday without data connected and as I was going up a steep slow hill, probably 70 kpa and it took a gear and had a lean...
