It's been a few years since I have done any tuning on my truck. Want to get back into it. I am currently running a 3.4l v6 60 degree with the 1228062 ECM.
I had at one time thought about running...
If you have a way of programming them, then I believe you can use 27c512 chips also. I'm going to verify that they are interchangeable later. If so, I have quite a few of them that are the old name...
You mean negative pulses.
I'll rig up a drac with a signal generator and see what the signal is converted to, but I believe it is positive voltage going to zero reference output. An inverter of...
Ok, let me see if I can help you out here.
1. Are you using the intellitronix speed sender that goes into the transmission?
2. What model/year transmission are you using?
I converted my...
@AzDon,
Have you figured this issue out yet?
Thanks for asking! It's been a while since I have done anything with this truck. It mostly sits in the garage unless I am taking it out to do some hunting, but I still need to tune the WOT numbers on...
I see there are 2 "loop" modes monitored in TP, one is "Loop Status" and the other is "Idle loop mode". Are you sure you are looking at the right one?
Any update to this problem?
I use:

and I made my own eraser using a UVC bulb...
Not sure why wipers aren't working because the 7747 and 8062 ECM's don't have anything to do with the wipers. (I could be incorrect)
The A/C clutch signal from the ECM goes to the relay for the...
Also, when you put the 28 pin ZIF socket in, did you solder pins 1,2, 26-28 together as seen in this picture?
...
I suppose that I could just run a ground wire and a signal wire to pin E of the ALDL connector and try until I am successful in getting a data stream, or, something starts smoking...LOL.
I've got...
I picked up one of these from a local swap meet for 5 bucks. Doesn't have anything with other than the GM cartridge that will work for me, but, it doesn't have the OBD1 cable.
If you happen to...
This is the right place for anything GM OBD1.
In regards to software, I'd recommend downloading TunerProRt and getting familiar with that. That would be the program where you can actually data log...
Started having an issue where the ECM seems to reset or something. It occurs randomly and appears to last for 3-4 seconds, maybe less. I'll be driving along and everything is good, then all of a...
Ok, I'm not very familiar with using that set-up as I use the serial port ALDL cable since I have a Toughbook CF-30 for tuning.
I did once try to use a USB type connection and had nothing but...
Would you mind describing your connection from the laptop to the ALDL serial port?
I think I am having some issues with the dip socket that I am using in conjunction with the socket booster, so I burned a chip and removed the ostrich 2 to eliminate that.
In any case, I opened up...
I knew I'd leave some small piece of info out......:innocent2:
I'm running a 1228062 ECM. It has the same pinout as a 1227747.
YMMV.......
But, I've been running my Ostrich 2 plugged into my ecm for the better part of a year without any issues other than the battery in it going dead. When that occurred, the SES light...
When I wrote that, I was thinking of cap size between the 2.8 and v8 BIN values. Although, if I recall correctly, the ignition modules between the 2.8 and 4.3 is different, so my bad on that...
I suppose the best way to find out is to actually do it, but I thought I'd ask here first. My engine setup is as follows;
3.4l with Edelbrock intake, 4.3 throttle body and 4.3l injectors,...
Ok, makes sense.
I've not burned a chip in probably a year as I pretty much have had the Ostrich 2.0 plugged in from the time I got it.
I probably should burn a backup chip in case the...
Hey Brian,
So when you burn a chip from an edited BIN while the mask is set to AA, will the mask also be written to the eeprom as AA?
I suppose that I could simply burn a chip and see.
As far as I know, the only time you change the checksum to AA is when you are using the Ostrich in emulation mode.
Now I'm not so sure about burning a chip whether that makes a difference. To be...
