I'm wondering if anyone has or can point me to a $8C definition file. Application is 1995 S-10 Blazer 4.3 CPI.

Have you tried using the $0D adx? That is what it comes back as for that truck.
I have that bin and looked at it in $0D and looked like it would work until I got to the fuel tables?
I also have an $8C and $8CB XDF, neither of which work for that bin. No hack found for $8C...
There's a lot more wierd then spark advance... I can't find any other ADX for it, or an accurate $8C to read the bin, lots look good with $0D till you get to tables.
Since it's a 16197427 how about a $0D bin to start?
It hurts me to write this ... TunerCats offers $8C. Maybe I need to use DataMaster TTS for this Tune? I think $8C might have some parameters for the electronic transfer case? Not sure if $OD would good option just yet.

if tunercat does have the correct 8C(and it wouldn't be the first time they've mislabeled an odd calibration), then it could be converted to a tunerpro XDF....
just saying.
EDIT: ask tunercat to send your BIN their way and have them verify that the XDF is correct for it.
TunerCat does have an $8C and $8CA for those trucks.
But I have an $8C but it came in a folder marked "8C 1227748 90 2.5TBI L68" and $8CB that don't work...
EDIT: From the ADX/XDF Lookup "16245358 27C512 $8C 95 C & K Truck, Van, 4.3L $8C.xdf Maybe OBDII ? A309.ds or A217.ds ?
So what PCM is it?
I have a definition file for that mask but it's not an xdf file. Is there an easy way to do the conversion? Xfer case electronics are handled by an independent module. The only PCM input for Xfer case is "4wd low." Mark, if you send a copy of that cal I can look at it to confirm this definition's right.
TDF, ECU or something else?
Sorry. File name was "0D" and I was looking for $8C. Will check tomorrow.

You been hanging out with the police? :laugh:Quote:

Yeah it says $0D in file name but it is an $8C in hex mask ID, comes out correct in an $0D mask but spark and fuel tables are off?
perhaps he knows of my (thankfully) short military career? :D
