New tuner!
Hey guys! I have a 1994 Chevrolet K1500 Z71 with a 5.7L TBI 350 in it.
Looking to get into tuning because in the not-too-distant future the truck is going to have a 9.5:1 383 stroker in it with a built 4L60E (how hard is it to do a 4L80E swap?) behind it.
Whats the easiest way to set up tuning on this way? Whats everything I need? Links and info would be appreciated!
EBL? Whats the advantages to this over a normal way? Does it change the way you tune the motor?
My idea is to get a tune from Mark and then get that dialed in and perfect it on my own on my own PC, because I don't know if its possible to get everything 100% perfect unless you're dealing with the truck in person.
Thanks guys!
Chris

On your truck, a 4l80 swap wouldn't be too difficult. You'd just need to do some minor re-pinning on your harness and add wiring for the input speed sensor, then get the right memcal for your ECM.

EBL by itself will not control an E-Trans (4L60E / 4L80E). EBL can be configured to work with the original computer to operate an E-Trans.
I would suggest using a Moates.net Ostrich 2.0 and G1 memory adapter board with TunerPro RT to tune with.
http://www.moates.net/ostrich-20-the....html?cPath=95 Provides real time tuning, even when driving!
