Hello everyone
Disabled army vet here, new to all this that is tuning.
Plan is to build a torquey and good gas mileage engine. Will be going on the road this summer with travel trailer and my hope is for a good reliable vehicle.

Tell us about the vehicle?
Vortec longblock(383), 454 tb with 350 injectors, single plane adapter for torque and good mpg.
Nv3500 (shafts have ben crynoed)

What vehicle is it in?
What intake and adapter?
What cam shaft specs?
Your going to need at least 14 PSI fuel pressure. Stock usually comes up to 12 PSI if your lucky...

Back to your origanal question. I would not make the change from the 7747 to 9427. Yes the 9427 is faster PCM and has better data logs, the only time I would do the swap is if motor was overbuilt, use of an E trans or building a harness and system from scratch.Quote:

Ok so stick with original ecm. Do you have the tunes saved from other vehicles? What equipment would you recommend?
Reason I was thinking 16188051, eas for the reflash capabilities.
On the otherhand I swap EVERYTHING to the 7427'. I cannot stand the 160 baud rate ECMs.Quote:
