Newest of the Newbs!

Good morning all,

I’m pretty much brand stinkin’ new to EFI. Although I’ve had a MegaSquirt II and all of the associated bits and pieces (TBs, trigger wheel, etc, etc) for nearly a year now, I’ve not finished the engine it’s all going on. I have, however, immersed myself in reading of the manuals (MS hardware, MS tuning, TunerStudio software), but that only goes so far until you power up the unit and can actually see your own base tune.

I’m in San Jose, and I’m a long-time vintage VW hobbyist (wrenchin’ and building engines about 35 years), so all my experience is on points and carbs. Super excited about getting this all together (eventually) and learning about and experiencing the benefits of FI.

Bottom line, even though there’s a great MS support network, I think it’s good to have several sources of help and information, including this site…so I joined.
I’m not ready to post about anything else at this point, but I’m looking forward to reading more around here.
