Trying to get everything ready to convert my CJ-7 AMC 304 to a TBI using the parts pieces from a GM late 80's early 90's. My question, and I think I already know the answer, is does the donor vehicle have to have a manual transmission. Most of the donor vehicles have automatics. I'm thinking because the system is older it does not use the ECM to control the transmission so I am good in using a donor vehicle regardless of the transmission installed.
