Christmas Grand National tuning questions

First off Merry Christmas to anyone celebrating it and happy holidays to everyone else. I'm running into an issue on a customers 87 grand national that I am tuning.
I am using the
stock87.rom bin file
T31.xdf file
imported $31T.ads file.
TunerPro RT
Moates APU1 cable

I can emulate just fine, but I can't get the datastream to work, I set it up to use the 10k at first and to be used as a passthrough, then tried every other combination of the switches. Been reading for hours and hours on this and can't find a good solution to this that has worked. I checked and my obd1 port has a good ground. Any suggestions on where to go from here?
