intro
hello i have two vehicles that use tbi and would like to learn how to tune their computers from reading up in this forum. i have an 88 k5 blazer (obviously) and a 92 1500 single cab step side. both have 350's and 700r4's. my blazer has an RV cam, flat top pistons, headers, 1.6 roller rockers and a 6 in lift on 33's with 4.56 gears and a posi in the back but the best part is its sweet new blue and white paintjob. my 92 is all stock but i just ordered exhaust for it so its a start.

:welcome:
I think the best place to begin tuning is coming up to speed with TunerPro RT. Feel free to ask questions.

are there any good tutorials out for tunerpro? my biggest issue is that i bought the aldl to bluetooth adapter from reddevilriver and i havent been able to figure out how to get it to work with tunerpro. i got it to connect to aldldroid on my phone but thats as far as ive gotten. it asked me which .adx file i have and i havent been able to figure out what an adx file is or which one i should choose. i guess i have a lot of learning to do. the one ive been playing around with the computer with is my 92 being that my blazer is currently in storage. i will break her out for winter and play with its computer then.

I'm almost 100% sure the 88 Blazer is using ECM 1227747. ( Lots of information on the 1227747 here: http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...Information-42 ) There is more than one ECM option for 1992. Maybe the 1992 has ECM 16146299? ( http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...Information-99 ) Post back the ECM number for the 1992, I should be able to help with the .adx file.

I guess the most reliable way would be to take out the glove box and check. Where would the number be? On the chip itself?
-
there will be a sticker on the ECM with a GM part number for the ecm itself, and a sticker on the chip (under a small cover) that says the stock calibration ID (which you can use to figure the mask). you want both.
-
Alright the sticker on my 92 says it's 16146299. Still trying to figure out how it comes out to figure out the number on the chip
-
It was a lot easier than I thought to remove. The sticker on the chip says awlb awlb 7706

2 Attachment(s)
I've attached $99 .adx and $99 .xdf files for ECM 16146299.

Thanks for the help. Which should I choose when aldldroid prompts me to choose an .adx file? it gives me 3 options. 8EA.adx, 8F.adx, and A1.adx.

you need more options; put the adx files dave uploaded on your phone.
