Mr Injector and flow rates

I don't know if you guys have ever sent your injectors to be serviced but one such company is right in my town. Mr Injector.

I brought a set of 80 pph Big Block Chevy injectors to him yesterday for his cleaning service I used before. Injectors come back with new filters appropriate gaskets for TBI and flow rates before and after. From memory I seem to remeber about 7% increase after service.

So we started talking about what GM rates injectors and how fuel pumps are GPH. Well we are going to do all GM injectors as I have them and we will get some true numbers.

I should be able to donate some MPFI injectors.

Sure! I know there are numbers out there but the GM TBI numbers seem to be highly speculative. I had a set of 5.7L injectors on a conversion engine once that I could not tune, replaced the TBI unit with another 5.7L known numbers and got it tuned very easily. Sent the injectors in (before Mr Injector here in town) and they flowed close to Big Block injectors.

That's actually a good Idea Six Shooter! How about anyone that has an extra injector send it to me. Mr Injecor was asking what advertising costs here would be and I told him free. It's just for our hobby. But I think he would do a bunch of injectors for us and we can do a write up with true flow rates. It would be worth his time for the advertising we could spread around and a interesting project for our team!

I might actually use a service like that if we got discounts through being a member.

I know I have some, I'll gather them together.

I'll be up there on Tuesday to pickup the set I dropped off and I will inquire as to a website discount.

I will also start or edit the one thread we have with injector part numbers and flow ratings from the guy on TGO, he had sent me corrected numbers since there seems to be a HUGE flaw in what's going around the internet.

Talked to Mr Injector today and he is up for a forum discount. When you mail them you will have to mention the DIY fuel Injection forum Discount.

As for my Big Block TBI injectors the fial flow was CC/Min=880 which is 83.81 LBS per HR. Injectors increase from the service increased 5% on one and 8% one the other.
