Confused about memcal mod for $0D pfi

Ok my dad has converted his 78 cutlass with olds 403 to pfi using $0D. He printed out the pics and text but we are both unclear about the memcal pic stating this is v6 to v8 mod grounding pin 13 to 10. My dad has the v8 memcal but was unclear if that’s a pfi mod or strictly v6 to v8 based on the other pic of a memcal with 7.4l $0E written on the chip. Does anyone mind straightening us out please?

Distributor Reference Pulse (DRP) vs. Injector Firing or spraying fuel is one of the functions of the Memcal.
TBI fires the injectors once every DRP.
PFI / MPFI fires the injectors once every 4th DRP.

The Memcal modification for $OD MPFI / PFI is required to set the injector firing to once every 4th DRP.
