edit,
nevermind, I didnt see page 64...lol
Kathy had 6 hours of surgery today, in ICU with irrigation and wound vac to clean her out overnight, several pieces of synthetic mesh were found causing most of the issues, this was never supposed to be used in her condition, she has had several surgeries to remove it all, but seems they were not done completely, she will be back in surgery tomorrow to finish up, possibly 3 more hours surgery... maybe the end of a 10 year nightmare for simple surgery done wrong with synthetic mesh, then all the complications. Only organic mesh should be used in patients with Crohns diesease.
My son's skin grafts on his hands were pulled from his groin.
The thought of his future mother-in-law kissing his hand makes me lol sometimes.
That's to funny...
Skin graft was the only thing over the wife's intestines for the last year since the last botched simple surgery to fix last botched simple surgery, to fix last botched simple surgery..... that started the disaster... They said she would not make it, so they left her. Surprise! Now she will be put back together properly by surgeons qualified to work on her.
OHSU is the most amazing medical care I have ever seen! Usually pre op takes a half hour, today we were told they have been studying Kathys tests, scopes, scans etc... for a week and still took 3 hours with at least 12 people involved in the surgery for Pre Op. There is no questions about time or as to what insurance covers or what Oblundercare allows. The patient get's what is needed!
Its good to hear shes getting the care she needs. Best wishes to you both.
Surgery is finally done and all went well! She is off critical and down to stable but still in ICU...
Dave W took me out to Portland Raceway for the Wednesday night cruise in. Wow lots of cool cars and drag races. Nice break from life, thanks Dave!
Good to hear.
