Again im returning this idle issue... i changed 61 lbs injectors, i now have managed to lower my idle rpm but no came across a new mountain to climb... now my idle is 750-825 rpm and mostly in 40-50 map... but i canot get afr:s right...
engine hardly starts, gets way too much fuel, gets flooded and idle afr in open loop is 11-12... but when driving under 1200 rpm im a tad lean.... and if i change vetable so that ill get little leaner open loop idle, something like 13.5-13.8 i still have a bit too rich start and a few second bogging after start, my closed loop idle will be 15-16 and driving is so lean that afr gauge wont show, car stumbles and so on...
how can i get it idling decently without being either way too lean or too rich constantly... or atleast get it started every time...

Could it be that the BIN you are using is going "open loop" when you are at idle?
My 1228062 ecm with the ACHT BIN goes into open loop idle in park, and, at a stop after a few seconds. I don't recall at this moment for sure, but I believe there is an "open loop idle AFR" parameter that controls that.
Worst that you can do, is go back to the last bin that worked better than what you are seeing now.

I don't know if you are data logging and burning your own chips if you are post a data log. could be throwing codes .
-
not done any log files from this, not sure what to look from it... no codes anyway...
-
it needs a chip burnt for your set up. I went back and looked at your set up,more cam less kpa at idle= less timming and more fuel going to your engine at idle.
-
yes.. needs something.. but like i said, really dont know what to change anymore... for emission testing my idle cannot be more than 900 rpm it it will not be idle anymore... if i add more timing ill have to get ilde lowered somehow...

I don't want to go back and read the whole thread, what ecm are you running? if its a 747 or a 288 and you get a data log I can probly point you as to what to change. or change it for you but you need a data log with tuner pro.i don't know much about tunning with a cam like yours but I would think 650-800 should idle good. rytari, I looked at your bin .I have never had any luck trying to run a v8 basic pulse with on a v6. I would get a good v6 bin and start over. here is a bin that I was playing with before my 747 bite the dust it should idle about 650 it is a std bin but I unchecked the std in tuner cat. try it and see what it does.
-
I have done bin from the asdu just because ppl in this topic said to do so... but now i quite dont understan what you mean with v8 pulse
-
most v8 basic pulse with is around 135 in a v6 bin it is 181, there are a lot of other differents to.it has to do with how long injectors stay open. cant spell this morning.
-
Aa. You mean bpw... i thougt value for it comes from that cylinder size and injentor size calculation not from quantity an placement of cylinders...
-
if I can find it I got a awdn bin that I ran for a long time that was a really good bin iam interested how you turn out because I want to put a little better cam in my v6 when I overhaul or rebuild it.

here is log file with my own bin.

rytari ,I looked at your data log an you need to run the engine till it gets to operating tempeture before you will see closed loop idle. your idle will probly drop 150-200 rpms when it goes closed loop then take it a drive then get 1-5 minutes idling if you are comfortable with it idleing that long. if your engine has not bin broke in yet I would drive it at 2000-3000 rpms for a 1/2 hour or so before you do a lot of idleing.get you another data log and post the bin you want to change.
-
i drove almost full hour for that log and it shows only a minute or so... weird...

my be a bad usb cable, I seen it stop when I was playing yor log and thought it might be on my end, I don't remember the 747 going to 6400 rpms in some of the tables. I would down load the latest adx xdl file from this sight for the 747 and see if the log file changes.my adx or xdl file for logging does go to 6400 rpms, I geuss I forgot .I was thinking about when you open a bin file, timming table tops out at 3200 . my setup sometimes stops an starts,if I restart tuner pro and reconnect my cable it stays on the whole data log.
