Cool. Glad you found it. Thanks.
I've got a few people over the last few months that really wanted XDL data log file supported. I kept saying I most likely wouldn't do it but it seems like its a deal breaker for some and some other still really wanted it. This weekend I started looking at an XDL log file recorded with TunerPro and trying to figure out how it was structured. I got the format about 98% figured out now after a lot of head banging and sleepless night :rolleye: and I can record an XDL log with ALDLdroid and play it with TunerPro and it seems to work great! So it looks like XDL logs will make it to the next version.
Scrufdog, give the next version a try when you can and let me know if it is any better. It should be!
Finally got time to try it, works great.
Future .xdl support sounds great, no more lugging around the laptop.
Thanks
Got into the 21st century last week and finally bought a new phone. Boy does your app fly when you have some Android horsepower ;-)
Scrufdog, awesome!
Gary, yeah, not only the hardware got better over the years, but Android too! So it does usually makes a huge difference even if I try to keep things somewhat optimized!
So just to distract me from this XDL stuff, I've been working on a log viewer that I wanted to start on for a while now.
Over the maps log viewer and the scatter graph log viewer already in the app, now there will be a more regular view log viewer that allow to see a few specifics columns of a data log. You can scroll (one finger) and scale it (two fingers) or scroll forward/backward fast (double tap). There is a cursor that display the current series value at the cursor location. Here is a screenshot on my phone:

And here is a kinda crappy video on my tablet:

Can we change the default directory that the scan get datalogged to?
Just curious if it is possible
Currently not, wouldn't be that hard to do... What's your use case ?
easier to transfer to a pc for manipulation thought was to point to a USB drive or removable device. not a need, i currently send it to google Drive and snag it form there
I see, well it could be done. I also had in mind to add Google Drive and/or Dropbox integration to automatically sync data logs to those services. You would get data logs to your PC without doing anything, that could be pretty cool as well :)
Version 0.51 is on Play. XDL supports is still not in this release. It will be more work than expected to get it working 100% so I've postponed it. The log viewer is in there tho!
0.51
- Added a log viewer to view data series (columns of a data log file)
- Fixed crash when using unparsable XDF file
- Fixed crash when trying to connect to ECU before selecting an ADX file
- Fixed crash when no source defined on an indicator of the default dashboard in ADX file
- Fixed display issue in scatter graph log viewer when minimum and maximum value of an axis are the same (the value of a specific column has never changed)
So I've read all 54 pages of this thread. Looks awesome. Price is awesome. Ordered a FTDI USB to TTL converter and it should be here in a few weeks.
However, I cannot find any place that has a .ADX file for my engine. (Hell, I don't even know if my engine is the one I think it is). I've determined it should be an L82 V6. Would this work? It's sitting in a '95 Corsica that was shipped w\ a 4cyl, so I'm going off of what the V6 Corsica of the same year shipped with. Is there a way I can plug my car in and just get it's info about the engine, and then select a .ADX file from there?
..... which PCM is it using, the 4 cylinder or 6 cylinder? they'll both require a different ADX. i haven't seen anyone have an issue with the recent versions of the P66 V6 ADX i maintain. i don't know if the ADX for the 4 cylinder version has been built before.
