I'm using the L31 96' block with the plastic timing chain. It's crazy because the last time I changed the oil pan gasket I added A LOT of rtv in the corners, and it leaked. This time I went the conservative route(thinking I added too much last time), but it still leaked.

If you're still looking for the correct PCV, keep reading. Any time you change things that adjust the vacuum profile of the engine, your PCV valve will no longer work as intended. They are tuned to transition at a set point and that point probably isn't in line with what your engine needs post-cam install. I had the same issue with my 383 blowing oil vapor out of the grommets on the valve cover. I found the ME Wagner tunable PCV and it solved my problems.
The PCV isn't cheap by any measure, but it is guaranteed to be the correct PCV for your engine combo.

Wow, I actually like the look of the Wagner tunable pcv valve, as it takes the guess-work out of the equation. Looks like I'm gonna be saving up for this in the near future. Thanks again for your insight!
