The fuel pressure regulator sets the fuel pressure, not the pump. I've installed several TPI fuel pumps for TBI service, mostly 454 applications. The Carter P7408 works great for TBI!

10-4...Those E2000 pumps push out up to 90psi, the TBI regulator wasn't intended to handle that much pressure...I'm sure it could with 3/8' lines for a period without problems but would just feel better with a pump that doesn't exceed 50 psi and not worry about leak by.
They have been used in TBI conversions about a bizillion times without issue... I would run 3/8 feed and return. If the return is not enough it raises pressure.
