if you have the A252 definition, yes.
http://tunerpro.net/gmOBDI.htm
I'm new to all this and not exactly sure how I use that.
well, we can step through it then.
using tunerpro V4 or V5? seeing how you're just getting into this, you're probably using V5?
Yea its V5 and a moates cable. I just figured out how to datalog from the PCM. The car has had an airbag code on for a while.
Robert, couldn't that be added as another connection and data in the same ADX I worked on? Like I have the Engine and Trans?
could be done, though if the F and Y cars use a different airbag module, that could cause issues for someone unaware that the added stuff is specific to B-bodies(actually applies to a lot of vehicles, but the F and Y cars are not applicable). looks like it also applies to the fleetwood.
Did either of you guys ever figure out how to do this? Thanks.
Well, yes, use A252.adx... not sure anyone ever has? You connect just like you would engine data... if the adx file works correctly. Not much interest in this data so I've never done it and don't have an LT1 to test it.
forgot about this thread... since you have managed to log the PCM, that will simply things a bit, since all you'll have to do is load a different ADX for when you want to scan/log the airbag module(unless somebody adds it into the LT1 PCM ADX).
i've used this one myself, IIRC, since it was used on the 94-95 W-bodies with airbags, and i know i've logged the airbag module before.
Well it appears that the A252.adx does not work with my vehicle. All I get is crazy data/error codes/etc jumping all over the place.
possibility that it's being caused by the Send Datastream Reply Body Size needing to be 32 instead of 31.
that and no mode 8 commands are being sent first either.
either, or both, could be causing that kind of data.
A lot of these files need the commands setup, like this one covers more then LT1 and Robert has some 3100 stuff in there too.
Acqusition, Edit Definition and you can see the commands.
I set one up the same as the LT1 for engine data, give it a shot!
That one is a no go as well. Same problem. I see the commands but I don't have a clue what I'm looking at.
I got it to do something but running them all "mode 8 - disable comms macro" but it does not appear to be stable as the connection tab blinks in between DA: Connected and data error.
