Morning all!

After about 2 weeks of frustration, learning, more aggravation, poking, prodding, tweaking, etc :mad1: I finally have what seems to be a good read on my memcal, have been able to clone that bcc and flash it to a 27SF512, read it back to the laptop, save it, modify it and flash it back to the chip. Then using the G1 adapter install it in my vehicle, hit the key and wow, no CEL and it is running off the chip instead of limp mode.

Thanks for all those that contributed to this learning curve.

My set up is a HP Windows 10 - 64 bit operating system, Burn-2 using Flash-and-Burn and Tuner Pro RT.

I remember back to my days programming older GE and Motorola radio's they preferred older slow processor computers. Does the same issue apply with the older OBD-1 PCM's using memcals?
What are most of the more experienced folks on this forum using for their bench computer.

Thanks,

Louis

I remember back to my days programming older GE and Motorola radio's they preferred older slow processor computers.

I am using a Windows XP based toughbook for most of my automotive related software. I do have a win10 laptop that I am using with a recently purchased VX Nano for some work. I will eventually move more software to the new laptop.

I have been using a win10 based laptop for programming our fleet Motorola radios for several years. The programming process seems to work fine, but Motorola keeps changing software.
