Hi, i swapped in a 5.3 DBW engine of a 2004 gmc xl truck and wiring with blue/green connectors of it, the pcm it had was 12576106 w.VATS, so I didn't take it.

Want to use my 411 512kb PCM from moates with blue/red connectors to run it, but cant find any calibration file 512kb to run it. Does anyone have a clue where i can get one?

Are the DBW Throttle Bodies the same green / blue PCM vs. red / blue PCM?

For most 5.3 liter vehicle applications, 2002 was the last year for the '0411. DBW was used on 2002 Cadillac 5.3 liter and some 2002 GMC 5.3 liter.

Hi Dave, truly not sure, have to figure all of that out, would appreciate any help, for now I have found limited information on repining the blue/green pcm wiring connectors to work with the blue/red pcm. But have found information that it is possible and that 411 pcm can run the lm7 5.3 DBW. Found at https://www.lt1swap.com/cable_conversion.htm

According to the RockAuto, the DBW Throttle Body part numbers are different red / blue PCM vs. green / blue PCM.

It appears to me the 0411 red / blue PCM will not work with the green / blue DBW Throttle Body.:mad1:

Even if you repin it?

According to Rock Auto, the Throttle Control Actuator (aka TAC Module) Red / Blue PCM vs. Green / Blue PCM are different part numbers. It appears to me the 0411 Red / Blue PCM will not work with the Green / Blue DBW TAC Module.:mad1:

Maybe a Drive by Cable (DBC) Throttle Body Conversion is an option? The 0411 has the correct Idle Air Control (IAC) circuitry for a DBC Throttle Body. The Green / Blue wiring harness can be repined for DBC.

If the 2004 Green / Blue harness is repined for a 2001 - 2002 DBW Throttle Body, TAC Module, and Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor.:jfj:

2001 - 2002 DBW parts required.

The dbw pcm's were used in the corvettes and some 8.1. red/blue puters p01 style since at least early '99. Not sure of the questions.

I think the plan is to use a 2004 Green / Blue DBW harness on an 0411 Red / Blue PCM. The challenge I see is the part numbers (according to RockAuto) for APP. TAC, and Throttle Body are not identical Green / Blue DBW PCM vs. Red / Blue DBW PCM.

I may have posted this earlier or someone else has.

Dave w, you are absolutely right, can not use the 1999-2002 411pcm to control the dbw 2003-2007 DBW gas pedal, bcmTAC and throttle body. If i want to do it, have to get the gas pedal, TAC & throttle body of a 1999-2002 DBW vehicle.

Thank you all guys for so much info!

I guess i just have to reflash the pcm from the doner truck to delete VATS, just got it today of the junk yard, tried it, the engine starts and just shuts.

Have already bought a OBDLink MX+, downloaded the LS droid app, made a bench for pcm, and couldn't get it all working. On one phone it just doesn't connect to ls droid at all, on the samsung pad it connects, but brings up a message, that:

"The device took to long time to respond to one or more of the setup commands.

Check the device and make sure it is powered on and working correctly.

The power light on the OBDLink Should be on Solid and NOT blinking or OFF.

The Bluetooth light on the OBDLink should blink slow when your NOT connected to the device and be on SOLID when you ARE connected to the device.

Tap anywhere on your screen to clear this message."

That is where i got stuck totally..

Have just spent money for nothing, as i found out that the odblink with firmware higher than 4.3.0 will not work with ls droid, and mine is initially higher..(((

Ok, great news, i have downgraded to a firmware 4.5.27 with the ODBLink MX+ (that is the oldest firmwar availabile for this product), and could flash with LS Droid. Yesterday my engine has started.:jfj:

I am by no means trying to say I know what I am doing entirely. I farmer rigged my PCM to my wiring harness for my 5.3 on Sunday. Plugged my ODBlink MX+ into the OBD port. And yes after some trial and error. I was able to pull the file out of my PCM with PC Hammers and OBDLink MX+. So if you have computer or laptop handy you can do that as well.

Understand this tread is old as well and may mean absolutely nothing.
