Hey fellow gearheads!
I'm trying to tune this truck, haven't used the chip burning stuff in a few years but, here goes...
This BIN is from a 1995 Chevy 1500 5.7 TBI with a Whipple supercharger. I can't get this to make sense. When I read this in TunerPro RT the data doesn't look right. If I burn this back to a chip, the truck is in limp mode.
Any opinions?
Thanks for the time.

That year should be a 512k chip. What is the whipple part number? I should have a copy.

Let's start with the basics.
What is the computer part #?
The 1995 1500 5.7 TBI with 4L60E or 4L80E would have chip that is memory size 64K (FFFF / 27C512)
The posted .bin file above is 32K, seems incorrect to me.
What definition file are you using? $OD? $OE? $E6, $31?

The truck will be back on Friday. If I remember correctly the comp is 16197427 with def of OD, the trans is a 4l60E. I'm using Moates autoprom to read the chip.

Read Addressing 0000 to FFFF

oooops, sry, I was very tired when I posted. I meant 27512 which as dave posted is not 512k, lmao.

Ok,
the Whipple part number is 2033-A4. The markings on the top of the chip are:014, 67633, 8944OAF.
I don't know what size this chip is and don't really have a grasp on the whole hex addressing stuff.
Thank you for any help.

When I read this chip as a 27C512 with start address 000000 end address 00FFFF I end up with a 32K file. The buffer addressing defaults to start address 000000 end address 007FFF, is this correct?

The buffer is also 000000 to 00FFFF.

Success!
The addressing was off in my TunerPro. After getting the settings correct, it works!
Thank you for helping me make sense of this thing. Now I can get to fixing the tune.
