Read all great info on your site. As new member, currently repairing ignition on 94 Roadmaster Buick Lt1 - discovered Gearhead-Efi from tunerpro link. Going to try tunerpro as scan9495 wont save dtc's for my obd1 system B-body.

Currently repairing no-run ignition after replacing ECM, coil, computer, checked ig sw, definitely established that orig pin drive opti is bad by ohming out 4 pins comparing orig opti to known good Carquest unit (with bad case). MSD unit is on order.

Not looking to reflash - Flashmaster replacement programmed PCM using either new or my orig knock module should be OK. Just need capability to start reading OBD1 dtc's once I'm up and running with MSD distributer next week. Going to try tunerpro as scan9495 wont save dtc's for my obd1 system on B-body.

Merry Christmas to ALL & a Happy 2021!

Have you looked at $EEHack? http://fbodytech.com/eehack-2/

Thanks Dave, I'm going to check out EEHack like you suggested. Scan9495 connects to datastream but is finicky about recording dtcs on B-Body 94 Roadmaster. BTW age got messed up on signup- barely over 60 lol!

tunerpro can have trouble connecting to b-bodies. they're especially difficult due to all the modules trying to talk on your ALDL bus. the latest versions of eehack have some new connection logic that should always work.

eehack should support all your DTCs, even some ones that the GM code readers don't.

to get the total extent of your DTCs and diagnostic data, open eehack, press connect in the top left

then go to the "*Diag" tab instead of the main dashboard and then press 'Snapshot' on the right side of the screen.

change the view filter to 'hacker' too it'll give you more data.

Thanks Steve. The program sounds great and will use. I'm not going to flash anything but just want to see dtcs if any. From reading posts I've learned 94-95 obd1 roadmaster 16188051 is an unusual GM system!

Finally fixed the 94 Roadmaster LT1 no spark problem. It was the infamous bad connection-power feed at the underhood fusebox. I had tightened this frequently before but didn't realize the important underneath secondary bolt was also loose until disassembly. Already had the new and improved service bulletin brass stud - just never installed it. Bought a spare 12176639 while still available.

Beside having great running car I now also have spare ICM, coil, PCM, ECT, unused Hantek-1008. Eventually replacement vehicle I'm researching is Chevy Silverado as it is one of the few single chain pushrod engine vehicles still available.
