Hello all, just thought I should introduce myself. I've been a gearhead all my life, in the 60's it was hotrods then that became motorcycles and my latest project is a 5.3 into a 90 GMC stepside. So I guess I've gone full circle. 73 year young today and a retired diesel truck mechanic. I'll try not to ask a lot of dumb questions, I usually like to figure things out on my own but a good source of info. never hurts.

Welcome to the forum. As another lifetime mechanic, I think it's fair to say it's better to ask than to guess wrong, especially when it comes to understanding some of the tuning stuff. And you might be amazed at some of the discussions that have come from a very basic question.
