Odd request, but I am working on a project to adapt to my old TBI engine. I am wanting to unplug the current (still works) TBI ECM, and hook in another ECM which has different style connectors. Since this may not work, I do not want to hack up my existing TBI harness. Does anyone sell an adapter, or male pin header which matches the current TBI ECM that I could use to solder on my other ECM harness? This way, I could just unplug my TBI ECM, and then plug in my adapter harness to try my other ECM.

Something like the DIY adapter pictured below?

Yes, this is what I am trying to do. It looks like guys are having to rob another ECM to get the header pins, then they can either solder, or use DB9 pins, etc... to make the connections. Sounds like nobody makes an adapter that mates up with the TBI ECM connectors?

There might have been a company that offered a commercial TBI computer adapter. There might have been some interest for a commercial TBI computer adapter catering to a transmission upgrade like 700R4 to a 4L80E. The 1st generation TBI computer 1227747 is very popular, the 2nd generation TBI computer 16197427 is a PCM the factory used to control both the 4L60E and 4L80E. Seemingly a Plug-n-Play transmission upgrade would be a viable product? The increased popularity of the "Fix All" LS engine swap would make a TBI computer adapter a "not commercially viable / profitable product".
