Tools being used:
Tunerpro RT
OBDLink Lx
Ls Droid
2003 LM7 PCM with bench flash harness

So im switching the 2003 OS to the 2004 OS and .bin. Using Tunerpro i only changed the VIN due to not wanting to change everything before even getting a successful flash.
Every time during the write it would get a crash randomly between 3xx - 502 blocks. Looking at the bin this entire section is just padded with "ff", so no actual info being stored here.

Realized during the write that it was going too fast and there was some bus collision happening. There is a setting that will disable write compression and boom it worked.

Just wondering if anyone else has ran into this problem before?

This is partially why I write to the PCM about 99% of the time using a bench harness with the PCM sitting on the kitchen table. Under these conditions, my 3-amp Radio Shack power supply pegs the PCM at 13.8 volts DC and I have no other traffic on the bus - not that I worry much about bus traffic on a nearly 51 year old vehicle.

I can also keep my Bluetooth transmit / receive distances short which helps to keep my data packet retry numbers low.

Edit: Try to write using PCM Hammer v14 and see if you do a little better. His V15 version is out in Beta but I have not tried it because v14 works so well.
