All,

If you follow some of the other forums you will see there has been some work done to create a repository of tunes. I have been working on collecting more and organizing what was already out there, primarily as a starting point for building a base to start crowdsourcing the effort.

That said, I have not seen any discussion of it here, and I know that quite a few bin files originated from those available on Gearhead.

My question really comes down to if Gearhead-EFI can be involved. Right now there is a wide variety of efforts undergoing, but little in the way of centralizing this effort. Gearhead is one such location, but certainly not the only.

Site maintenance is nearly a full time job, especially the time involved combating spam. The administrator and moderators have full time jobs outside of gearhead-efi. Gearhead-efi is non-profit, please notice the ABSENCE of advertisements and distracting links!

Dave,

And I am greatly appreciative of the fantastic effort that goes into this site.

My reason for posting is two fold. To start a discussion here with the senior members regarding my use of BIN files and at the same time linking the repo; and to hopefully find members who may be interested in helping curate the repository to make it more usable.

Thank you

edit, after reading my original post I need to clarify. I am not asking that Gearhead do the work, I am only asking permission to use Gearhead files and to encourage participation. I need nothing from Gearhead other then approval.

well, most of the bin files here are copyright GM and really nobody has permission to share them anyway, i'm sure nobody is going to care

if you haven't found it yet there are a ton in here too: http://www.gearhead-efi.com/gearhead-efi/bin/

Gearhead-efi members are allowed to download files from the library.

It makes sense to uploaded Stock Files to the Library.

It makes sense to upload / attach Modified Files to a subject specific thread.
