I am trying to make a new data cable. All the references I have found include parts to dead links. I am trying to connect to a 1995 obd1 pcm with flashhack and eehack. Will this circuit board work and do I just need to connect the TX and rx terminals together and run that wire to the pcm along with a ground wire connected to that terminal?

If it would work what should the power jumper be set to, 3.3v or 5v?

I have successfully made the cable with this https://www.amazon.com/DSD-TECH-SH-U09G-Serial-FT232RL/dp/B083HVM7VZ/ref=redir_mobile_desktop?ie=UTF8&aaxitk=IAOUZoTieRE-RZFUx5ieXA&hsa_cr_id=3203181790101&ref_=sb_s_sparkle https://www.amazon.com/-/es/Akozon-Pins-adaptador-herramienta-diagn%C3%B3stico/dp/B07Y8M4GNN/ref=sr_1_2?__mk_es_US=%C3%85M%C3%85%C5%BD%C3%95%C3 %91&dchild=1&keywords=obd1+12+pin&qid=1589065774&s=electronics&sr=1-2

That should work, and the ALDL is a 5V Logic Level.

I don't think that's what I'm looking for. I have no issue with buying an obd2 male connector and wiring up to that. I need the circuitry and advice on how to wire it. Thank you for the reply though.

Nomakewan,
Thanks I'll give it a shot.

tx and rt must be connected to pin 9 of the 16-pin obd1 connector and the Black or GND Ground wire must go to pins 4 and 5 of the 16-pin obd1 connector

Comment on your results to help you if you have further questions

that's pretty much the same board i have. it'll work fine

just pin 5 would do, you don't need both
